Artist Profile Diane & Doug Pignet

Doug retired from Los Angeles County Fire Dept. after a 34 year career in 2003 when he moved to Boston to be with Diane. Diane is a graduate of Plymouth State University in Plymouth, NH where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a business concentration. Diane works full-time as a Quality Improvement Coordinator for a private hospital in Boston and thus brings a level of perfection and attention to detail to their artwork.

They started taking pictures together on their honeymoon in France and Italy. Their passion for photography came together and that was the start of D&D Photography. Their excitement for turning life's beauty into photographic artwork is endless and you may see them zipping around your neighborhood.

Diane and Doug are continuing their education through various seminars, courses, and workshops. Doug is a member of the Cranberry Country Camera Club where he has been an instructor for one of the workshops on mat cutting. Doug has received many ribbons for his photographic art and he enters almost daily into the betterphotos.com competition where he has received many" editor's pick" awards and monthly awards.

Diane and Doug's photographic artwork has been displayed in several businesses throughout Massachusetts most recently, at Stonewood Health and Fitness Center in Carver, MA where all of their work on display throughout the facility is available to purchase. They have also done some commercial work for a local jewelry business and the website pictures for Castle Maine Inn in Bar Harbor, Maine. Their shots have also been used in several Maine tourism publications including AAA tour guide.>
